Visibility can not replace good work ethic and craftsmanship, but it can make that great work shine for more people. A submit blog directory is all about getting that visibility for your blog and your ideas, getting it out to the people who can get the most out of it.
No need to jump right in to the first submit blog directory you find though. Since there are many blog directories you can submit to, it would be good to take a look around and see what they offer. One could offer you plenty of applications and flashy incentives, but if the site traffic is low, then it will not be as effective in boosting the amount of readers.

Some people feel that I should submit my blog to as many as hundreds of blog directories, while others feel that this would be pointless.
As is the norm in the industry, it appears that submission to 10 blog directories or even less is sufficient. For although search engines are attracted to sites that have plenty of links, they are more likely to place a higher value on links that are featured on on topic posts and articles, as opposed to those that come from blog directories.
My primary concern at this point was how to find blog directories that I could submit my blog to. A simple online search for “blog directory” will actually get you hundreds of potential directories to check out.
